Anova Precision Cooker Nano vs. Anova Precision Cooker BT/WIFI

When it comes to sous vide immersion circulators, Anova has created top-of-the-line products that anyone can use. Two of their most popular options to date are the Anova Precision Cooker Nano and the Anova Precision Cooker BT/WIFI. Each has its own unique features that make it a go-to choice for novices and experts alike who wish to prepare sous vide meals at home.

But which Anova precision cooker is right for you? We’ve gathered some information on both of these items so you can make the right choice, whether you’re aiming to purchase your very first sous vide device or you’re in need of an upgrade.

Anova Precision Cooker Nano

If it’s a more compact sous vide circulator that you’re looking for, it’s definitely worth giving the Anova Precision Cooker Nano a try. This device is quiet and lab-grade, combining precision, convenience, and style into a neat little package.

Speaking of precision, Anova’s Nano is capable of cooking your meals with an incredible 0.1° accuracy, so every recipe will cook up exactly as it should for the best flavor and texture. This means you can get everything that you want and need from a top quality sous vide circulator, and you get it in a smaller unit that will still deliver restaurant quality meals.

How small is the Anova Precision Cooker Nano, exactly? Just 12.8” high and 2.2” in diameter, which means you can easily store it in a drawer in your kitchen to keep it within reach but out of the way. Plus, it only weighs 1.6 pounds.

But there’s more to Nano than its petite size; this product is also technologically advanced. You can easily connect it to your smartphone via Bluetooth, click a button, and cook your meals while doing something else, even if you’re in another room. As long as you are within 30 feet of the circulator, you can control it from your mobile device, so you don’t have to worry about being on top of your cooker while it works.

The Anova Culinary app allows you to adjust the Nano and monitor its progress, so you can stay on top of things. And it will even give you notifications so that you’ll know when your meal is done cooking. On that of that, the handy app provides you with super helpful guides and thousands—yes, thousands!—of delicious recipes that you can try when you want to prepare brand new meals for your family to enjoy. You even have the ability to create and save your own sous vide recipes.

The Nano makes it easy to stay on top of its status, thanks to colorful LED lights. When the LED is white, it means the device is idle. When it’s pulsing a blue light, the unit is warming up to whatever temperature you set, and when the blue light is solid, the Nano has reached that temperature. When the light is flashing red, there’s been an error that needs to be addressed.

Finally, the Nano can be a smart choice for anyone who is new to sous vide cooking. Its purpose is to make sous vide a snap, as all you need to do is set the appropriate temperature and time, and then let the device do all of the hard work while you monitor it from your smartphone. It doesn’t get much simpler than that.

Here are some other noteworthy features that come with the Anova Precision Cooker Nano:

  • Maximum cook size is 5 gallons
  • 750 watts of power means your water heats up quickly
  • Manual temperature and time controls, in addition to app controls
  • Pot size minimum depth is 5”
  • Temperature range is 32-197°F (0-92°C)
  • Cook time is up to 99 hours

Overall, the Anova Precision Cooker Nano is a fantastic choice for anyone who wants to cook up perfect sous vide recipes at home, whether you are a total beginner or you are an experienced chef. Attach it to any pot, add your water and sealed ingredients, adjust the settings, and start cooking with the touch of a button. Then, monitor the cooking process from your smartphone while you relax or take care of other tasks on your to-do list. Cleanup is a snap, and you can store the Nano away when you’re all done.

Anova Precision Cooker BT/WIFI

One of the best-selling sous vide circulators on the market is the Anova Precision Cooker BT/WIFI. You’ll also be able to use the same helpful guides, and you have the option of saving your own recipes so you can make them again with even greater ease.

To get started, all you have to do is download the Anova app. You can browse a variety of recipes, as well as watch video tutorials if you are new to sous vide cooking or you want to refine your skills. Featuring an adjustable clamp, you can use this sous vide circulator on any size pot, and you can prepare delicious meals for up to 12 people. While you can use the app to set your time and temperature, you can also do so manually on the device itself if you wish. And when you’re all done cooking with your Precision Cooker BT/WIFI, cleanup is simple too.

Finally, like the Nano, Anova’s Precision Cooker BT/WIFI can cook your food with the same 0.1° accuracy, ensuring perfect results every time.

Our 3 year old 1000 watt Anova sous vide, which we loved and would typically use at least 3 times a week, met with a fatal accident. We don’t need either blue tooth or wi fi. Is the Nano a good replacement unit or will we find it underpowered? We are home all day, so don’t need it to be fast heating up. Thnx
